Frames and Auxiliaries
Andover Norton currently
offers the following frames & auxiliaries made to factory drawings:
06-7201 Featherbed Frame
The frame is ideal for café
racer projects. Wideline type, fully welded- a Manx frame lookalike.
Unpainted to allow for modifications.
06-1130 Early Commando
Frame
The early Commando frame
fits all models 1968-onwards with the centre stand fitted to the frame and
Dominator-style fork yokes with adjustable steering head bearings.
06-5404 Commando 750/850
Frame
Frame for the 750/850
Commando Models with centre stand mounted to rear subframe, new fork yokes
and sealed ball bearings in the steering head.
06-5632 Commando 850Mk3
Frame
Nearly identical to 06-5404
above, but with the mounting brackets for the seat hinge and for the seat
lock that only the Electric Start models had.
06-4539 & 06-5888
Commando swinging arms

06-4539 replaces all earlier swinging
arms for Commandos, having a stiffer bracing arrangement between the side
tubes. 06-5888 is the Mk3 swinging arm for the rear disc brake model.
06-5459 Headsteady

Headsteady 06-5459
replaces the earlier type, which was a simple pressing and cracked
along the side earlier rather than later. This new type used on
the 850 models will last indefinitely and offers far more
structural rigidity than the earlier model, so giving the
isolastics- and thus the rear wheel- more stability in the
vertical. |
06-1410 & 06-5510 Commando front engine
mountings
06-1410 is the early front engine
mounting for the pre-Mk3 isolastics, i.e. those where side play is
adjusted with steel shims.
06-5510 will fit all Commandos, be it Mk3s or
those fitted with the Mk3 front isolastic arrangement adjusted by
turning the adjuster piece.

Commando; suits both types of isolastics, those with steel shim
adjustment and those updated with Mk3-type adjustable isolastics.

Gearbox cradle for 850Mk3
Commandos with fixed top gearbox bolt, made possible by the
hydraulic primary chain tensioner only the Mk3 possesses.
Swinging arm spindle fixed
with pedal bicycle-type cotters, as per original.

Gearbox cradle for 750/850
Commando; suits both types of isolastics, those with steel shim
adjustment and those updated with Mk3-type adjustable isolastics.
Similar to 06-4060, but with cotter fixing for the swinging arm
axle à la 850Mk3.
All our new swinging arm axles have flats provided for this type
of fixing.
Technically far better than the original type, but for those who
want to restore 100% original we still manufacture
06-4060.
