The Team

Managing Director: Nick Hopkins

Nick has been with Andover Norton International Ltd since it was founded in the summer of 1977. He has seen exciting times, with changing ownerships, from Manganese Bronze to Mike Jackson, then Mike Jackson and William Colquhoun, then the BSA Regal Group, and now Norton Motors; the Norton Commando spares being transferred to Norton Motors Ltd in Shenstone in the early 1980s, then a period in which ANIL was a wholesaler of general motorcycle accessories until 1991, then the re-aquisition of the Norton Commando Spares operation due to the financial disaster in Shenstone.

Nick is a Norton owner, riding a Commando amongst other Nortons, and knows his parts, as all Norton Parts Dealers can tell you.
His attitude towards his co-workers and customers is demonstrated by the picture above.

Chief Buyer: Peter Morris

Peter Morris succeeded Robert M. Reynolds on 3rd March, 2008.  He is an engineer currently employed at Norton Motors Ltd, and was involved in the development and production of the Norton Rotary models in Shenstone. Apart from knowing his motorcycles from the engineering point of view, on the drawingboard as well as hands-on in the workshop, Peter is an all-weather motorcyclist, currently riding a Ducati Monster as well as testing everything going through the Norton Motors workshop in Rugeley including Norton Commandos.
In the true Norton Chief Buyer tradition, Pete is hard to photograph, but not being as experienced as his teacher his picture could be taken from a distance of less than 3 miles.

Company Secretary: Phil Albutt

Phil Albutt came to Andover Norton through the joining of BSA in Blockley under William Colquhoun and Andover Norton International Ltd under Mike Jackson in the early 1990s. Phil started  managing MZ UK, but, with the diminishing importance of that operation over the years, has gradually taken on responsability in the Commando Spares Operation, and with the sale of Andover Norton from BSA Regal to Norton Motors Group he is now a Norton only man.
The only non-motorcyclist on the team, but knowledgeable nonetheless, we will try to make him see the light!
Picture was taken just after Phil fired his personal stylist.
